Large Print Puzzle Books for Low Vision
When eyesight isn't what it used to be, an ordinary puzzle book can be more frustrating than fun. The good news: a well-made large-print book removes most of that strain. Here's what actually helps.
What makes a real difference
- Big, bold characters. Size matters, but so does weight, thin gray type is hard to read at any size.
- High contrast. Solid black on bright white is the easiest combination for most low-vision readers.
- Roomy grids. Space between letters and numbers reduces crowding and mistakes.
- One puzzle per page. Less on the page means less to sort through.
- Matte paper. Reduces glare under lamplight.
Print it even larger
One quiet advantage of the PDF format: you can print any page at 110% or more for extra-large puzzles tailored to your comfort. See our printing guide for the settings.
